Born in Singapore and having spent substantial amounts of time living in the emerging economies of Shanghai and Vietnam, YanLing has cultivated a naturally curious mind in figuring out the reasons behind good experiences and innovations. Her passion is in helping brands become more consumer-centric, by deciphering consumer needs and trends into insights which guide the design of strategy. Since joining Chemistry, she has applied that same intellectual rigour to businesses across the automotive, F&B, nightlife and performing arts industries.
Previously, YanLing was employed by global design and innovation consultancy Continuum where she helped both international and Chinese clients bring to market human-centred and commercially successful products and experiences. It was there where she discovered her passion for 'designing consumer-centric branded experiences'. YanLing graduated from the National University of Singapore with a degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in marketing and entrepreneurship.
