Designing Impact: A Year in Review and A Glimpse Ahead
Looking back at 2023, we're privileged to have had the opportunity to work on some of the most pressing challenges facing our blue planet — something that gets us jumping out of bed every day.
As the year comes to a close, we want to wish our friends, clients, and the amazing people in our network a wonderful year-end.
Looking back at 2023, we're privileged to have had the opportunity to work across an incredible range of projects. Not only that, but we're proud of delivering work that continues to help address some of the most pressing challenges facing our blue planet — something that gets us jumping out of bed every day.
HEALTHCARE
Our work has been focused on improving the patient experience and shifting behaviour towards healthy lifestyles and better ageing. We've been able to work through the public sector in Singapore— looking at everything from healthy precincts to the national pharmacy strategy— and across the globe in Europe— creating extraordinary experiences for seniors with Guild Living and developing new human-centric tech solutions with VigoGroep.
In addition, we were also able to shine a spotlight on Sustainability in Hospitality at our thought leadership event, The Future of Tourism & Hospitality, for Service Design Days x Singapore Design Week. With over 50 leaders across Hospitality, Tourism, Sustainability, and Design joining us at the National Design Centre, this was a milestone in activating new conversations to move the industry in a new direction.
IMPACT SECTOR
One thing is clear— good design drives positive impact. This year, we've also been working with UNICEF and UNHCR to develop human-centred design capabilities for Child Immunization in the South Asia and MENA regions alongside challenging but critical topics in India and Bangladesh.
Our work continues to validate the fact that the key to solving our biggest problems is the power of empathy in deeply understanding the people we are solving for and the value created by bringing diverse perspectives to the table.
In the coming year, we look forward to exploring new areas to build and hone our research and capabilities in design and its positive impact on education and business. We've got exciting partnerships lined up to help accelerate business solutions with the Bayes Business School in London, as well as helping the municipalities of Amsterdam tackle transportation challenges in the move towards more sustainable cities.
We're committed to staying bold and dreaming big to help solve these challenges and look forward to what's in store for us next.
